After seven years of construction, the 34-mile-long bridge is set to open at the end of the year.

Looks like good quality work. If that bridge had been made in Michigan, it would have taken 20 years and pot holes would have occurred in the first six months after opening and patched every spring.

It is NOT a 34-mile sea bridge. It is a 18.4 mile bridge followed by a series of tunnels and much shorter bridges. You can't really call it a 34 mile long bridge when it goes underground at the 18.4 mile mark.
