飞机意外倒滑，机务人员飞奔放轮挡，外国网友佩服勇气

Passengers at a Chinese airport witnessed a near-miss drama this week when a plane rolled out of its parking dock after a worker removed its wheel chocks by mistake.

A video taken by an onlooker shows the worker was forced to chase after the rolling A320 airbus on the tarmac.

The worker managed to stop the aircraft shortly afterwards.

呼和浩特白塔国际机场7月12日下午发生惊险一幕。

一段网友发布的视频显示，一架长龙航空公司的飞机在机坪上倒滑，一名机务人员看到后，拿起轮挡跑向飞机前轮，将轮挡放置在前轮后，并试图用手推了飞机，阻止了飞机继续倒滑。

Definitely the pilots' fault for not applying the parking brake as it's on the checklist. I could be reasonable and suggest the brake failed.

Back in the late 60s I was fined £3 for -- not applying a vehicle parking brake¿when my car rolled out into the road. I blame the pilot for not applying the parking brake.:-)

If this happened in current day Europe or America, the workers would have just sat still and watched the airplane roll back as if it was not their problem. I commend this man for having the guts to go up against an aeroplane head on.

No they wouldn't. Don't make sweeping generalisations. The man is a member of the ground crew and so it is his job. Unless you think that cleaners should chase a plane?

it's nice that you commend him, but it could have also got him killed. It happened to a worker that chased after a truck that rolled down a hill. He stumbled and the truck rolled over his head. Hard to say what the right thing to do is...

The first thing that jumps into my mind is doing the right thing. That plane could have gained more momentum and slammed into another or may have had people on board, in which case, it is worth dying for. I didn't think about my own safety whenever I rescued a guy from burning roadside lorry once.
