A newborn boy has died in India after a doctor allegedly removed the baby's genitals to prove he was right when he predicted it would be a girl.

产前，印度一位医生预测生的是女孩。看到生出来的是男孩后，为了证明自己是对的，医生竟然将新生儿的生殖器割掉，导致胎儿夭折。

The doctor, named in Indian media as Anuj Kumar, is reported to have surgically removed the child's penis and testicles at his private clinic in Chatra district of Jharkhand state.

据印度媒体报道，贾坎德邦的这位医生名叫阿努杰 库马尔，他涉嫌在自己的私人诊所里，割掉了新生儿的阴茎和睾丸

Police launched a probe after a complaint from the baby's parents Guriya Devi and Anil Panda, according to the Indian Express.
