NEW DELHI: Since the launch of the new Samsung Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20 smartphones, the company's Chinese arch rival Xiaomi has been taking jibes at the South Korean tech giant on social media. From being “‘M’ean” to ‘M’ic drop moments (hinting at the new Galaxy M series), Xiaomi’s social media team has gone all out to boast how good the upcoming
Redmi Note 7 smartphone would be and why people should avoid buying the new Galaxy M series phones.

小米的社交媒体团队使出浑身解数吹嘘其即将上市的红米Note7智能手机有多么好，以及为什么人们不应该买三星的新款Galaxy  M系列手机。

In an exclusive interaction with The Times of India-Gadgets Now, Ranjivjit Singh, senior vice president & head, mobile marketing, Samsung India said, “All I can say is thank you [to Xiaomi] for talking about us [Samsung]. We talk about consumers while you [Xiaomi] are talking about us.”

在接受印度时报的独家采访时，三星印度的高级副总裁Ranjivjit 表示，“我要说的是，感谢小米讨论我们三星。我们讨论消费者，而你们小米讨论我们。”

Talking about the response to Galaxy M series, Singh said, “We are overwhelmed by the response from the Indian smartphone buyers. The Galaxy M series is by far one of the best launches we have made and we are very confident about the future launches in the M series. We have hit a sweet spot in the market and we are very happy.”

India should impose higher import duty on all Chinese products and make sure that they are high priced than the rest of their competitors so that they cannot sell in India. Also India will make money from these higher charges, just like US is benefiting now
