BEIJING: Washington has warned that Chinese-made drones could be giving spy agencies in Beijing "unfettered access" to stolen data, according to a report in American media.

The Department of Homeland Security sent out an alert on Monday flagging drones built in China as a "potential risk to an organization's information", CNN reported.

据CNN的报道，美国国土安全部的一份报告称，中国无人机构成了潜在的信息风险。间谍机构或能偷窃数据。

These commercial drones DJI can either connect through wifi to the control unit or to internet. The video data is stored in sd cards of the flying unit which can be downloaded without using internet. Even flight path data can be deleted regularly. This seems to be an economic offensive as the Chinese are providing modern functional units at low cost.
