NEW DELHI: A day after Pakistan allowed to let Prime Minister Narendra Modi's VVIP aircraft fly over its airspace to Bishkek in Kyrgyzstan, India on Wednesday decided to fly via Central Asian countries bypassing the Pakistan airspace.

新德里：巴基斯坦允许莫迪总理的专机飞越其领空前往吉尔吉斯斯坦比什凯克参加峰会，然而周三印度作出回应称决定绕过巴基斯坦领空，途经中亚国家前往比什凯克。

PM Modi's VVIP aircraft will now fly over Oman, Iran and Central Asian countries to reach Bishkek where he is scheduled to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit on June 13-14.

莫迪总理的专机将飞越阿曼、伊朗和中亚国家，抵达比什凯克，按计划他将于6月13日至14日出席上海合作组织峰会。

India had requested Pakistanto let Modi's aircraft fly over its airspace when he travels to Bishkek. Pakistan accorded an "in principle" approval to India's request.

印度曾要求巴基斯坦允许莫迪专机飞越其领空。巴基斯坦“原则上”同意了印度的请求。

"The government of India had explored two options for the route to be taken by the VVIP aircraft to Bishkek. A decision has now been taken that the VVIP aircraft will fly via Oman, Iran and Central Asian countries on the way to Bishkek," MEA spokesperson Raveesh Kumar said.

印度外交部发言人库马尔表示：“印度政府研究了专机前往比什凯克的两种路线。现在已经做出决定，VVIP专机将途经阿曼、伊朗和中亚国家飞往比什凯克。”

Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan is also attending the meeting of the regional grouping.

巴基斯坦总理伊姆兰·汗也将出席上合组织峰会。

Modi leaves for Bishkek on Wednesday on a two-day visit.

莫迪将于周三启程前往比什凯克进行为期两天的访问。
