hina today raised the maximum speed of its bullet trains to 217 mph (350 kmh) - six years after a fatal high-speed railway crash had shocked the world.

At the risk of sounding pedantic they shouldn't be called bullet trains anyway. A bullet travels ten times faster than this train. They should have called it the Falcon as 217mph is the faster recorded speed for a Peregrine Falcon.
