Farmers in China have caught up with the country's booming drone trend and started using unmanned aircraft to spray pesticide onto the fields.

中国农民赶上了该国欣欣向荣的无人机产业，看是用无人机提供喷药作业服务

Not only that, a team of villagers in central China recently bought 30 of these bug-zapping vehicles in hope of turning it into a new business.

不仅如此，中国一些村民，最近购置了30台无人机，将其搞成了一项新的致富途径。

Zhu Xiwang and his neighbours said they hoped their squad of agri-drones to could help them start a pest-killing service, according to Huanqiu.com, an affiliation to People's Daily Online.

村民朱希望联合本村十几个贫困户，一次性购置30台无人机，组成植保无人机编队，为全国各地的种植专业合作社和种植大户提供喷药作业服务，开辟了一条脱贫致富新途径。

I am pretty sure it is not just me that has noticed a drastic drop in insect numbers over the years. I remember as a kid it could be a real problem in the garden, and very much noticeable on the cars. These days you hardly see anything and I think it's down to a few things but pesticide is definitely one of them, we are overzealous with it and it will bite us in the backside.
