中国一液化气罐车泄漏起火，英国网民评

A Chinese highway transformed into a raging inferno after an overturned tanker coated the road in liquid natural gas, creating a potential deathtrap for unsuspecting motorists.

Two people were seriously burned and another six sustained light injuries, according to local media reports.

A blue sedan can be seen in the video bursting into flames just moments after the driver pulled onto the shoulder behind the tanker truck.

2月11日上午，京哈高速北京方向292公里山海关收费站附近，一辆运输液化气的罐车发生侧翻，致使液化气泄漏，路面瞬间起火，邻近三辆小轿车被大火吞没。

据河北高速交警通报，事故中液化石油气车辆驾驶员烧伤50%，押运员烧伤10%，烧毁小型汽车3辆，有6人为手、脸部燎伤， 2人重度烧伤，1人无伤情，无人员死亡。交警、路政、消防部门全部到场，全力扑救，伤员第一时间送往医院。

Looked like he was about to get out, maybe turned off the engine, the fire could have burnt up a lot of oxygen and prevented the car starting. But people do strange things when they panic.

Your auto is a cocoon of protection, at least for a short time. Why anyone would open their door and get out into the flames I do not know as most would do as the other drivers did and reverse back as quickly as they can. Maybe the fire consumed all the oxygen but the engine should have restarted as soon as the flash fire died down seconds later. I realise the event must have been scary as heck but staying as calm as possible is the key to surviving if its at all possible. All gases that have been liquified will stay close to the ground as seen here, sadly they are always invisible to the naked eye. Let us all hope no one dies from their injuries.

也许火焰消耗了周围全部氧气。

火焰灭掉后那么几秒，就应赶紧重启发动机啊。

DM I think you will find it was Petrol , not Gas. Also not sure what a Sedan is.... But sure you mean Saloon Car.
