BEIJING: China said on Thursday that the procedures for admitting India and Pakistan into the Shanghai Cooperation Organization was at an advanced stage and will be finalised at the next SCO meeting in Astana in June.

周四，中国表示，把印度和巴基斯坦纳入上合组织的进程已经进入最后阶段，将于下一次在阿斯塔纳举行的上合组织峰会上最终得以落实。

The move comes at an interesting time when Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in the process of signing a major nuclear and arms deal with Russia, which is one of the SCO members.

这适逢一个有趣的时刻，即莫迪总理正在与俄罗斯讨论签署核协议和军购协议，而后者是上合组织成员国之一。

Other members include China and Central Asian countries.

上合组织的其他成员国有 中国和中亚国家。
