NEW DELHI: A BJP legislator in Jammu has called for a ban on popular street food Momos (dumplings) alleging that the dish is more dangerous than alcohol and psychotropic drugs.

印度执政党人民党的一位议员拉梅什•阿罗拉(Ramesh Arora)声称要封杀饺子，他呼吁封杀街头受欢迎的美食馍馍（饺子），称饺子的危害超过酒精和精神药物。

Ramesh Arora, member of the Jammu and Kashmir legislative council, believes that Ajinomoto (monosodium glutamate) used in momos' recipe is harmful to health and can even cause cancer.

拉梅什•阿罗拉(Ramesh Arora)说，饺子里含有味精(味素)，吃了对身体有害，甚至会引发癌症。

"Momos have been found to be the root cause of several life-threatening diseases, including cancer of the intestine," an English daily quoted him as saying.

一份英文日报引述他的话，称，“馍馍被发现是包括结肠癌在内几种致命性疾病的根源”

He also claimed that our teenagers were getting addicted to momos like drugs and it needed to be stopped.

他表示，年轻人吃馍馍像嗑药一样已经上瘾了，应该叫停。

If this was not enough, Arora has also met the state's health minister Bali Bhagat on the issue.

这还没完，阿罗拉还就此问题找上了邦健康部长Bali Bhagat。

Not only momos, it should apply to all the street vendors selling unhygienic food. This targeting the people with momo culture the mongoloid people.

Ajinomoto is used in all chinese food in all restaurants even high class restaurants. Ajinomoto is very dangerous​ for health, not advisable to eat food containing that.

I think most of these street food is unhealthy - Momos/ Chowmin - It should be replaced with healthier options.

why stop Momos rather stop sale of Ajinomoto , which is easy to do. Momos is tasty.
