NEW DELHI: The Indian Air Force is capable of countering China and ready to take on the challenge of a two-front war , Air Chief B S Dhanoa said on Thursday.

新德里：印度空军参谋长Dhanoa周四表示，空军有能力制衡中国，并准备迎接两线战争的挑战。

Addressing a press conference here on the eve of Air Force Day, the Air Chief Marshal said his force is ready for a full spectrum operation but added that any decision on surgical strike involving the IAF has to be taken by the government.
"We are ready to take on any challenge," he said.

在空军新闻发布会上，空军参谋长称，军队已经准备好迎接全面行动，但涉及空军的任何外科手术式打击都应该由政府作出决定。

“我们已经做好迎接任何挑战的准备。”

The Chief of Air Staff also said the IAF will achieve sanctioned strength of 42 fighter squadrons by 2032.

空军参谋长还称，空军将在2032年之前获得42支战斗机中队。

Better not to spill out what you are capable of. In the meantime keep on adding fire power to the armoury so that no one dare to look towards us. However, personally I feel we must concentrate more on economic power without lowering our guards so that the economics itself takes over all such concerns over war in the long run.

I fail to understand why India has to show his strength every now and then it has ben proven without doubt that Indian Armed forces are capable of handling China as was evident in Doklam but why do we need to blow our own trumpet.

India should not go to war for atleast 20-25 years if it wants to reach the level of a major superpower. We are lagging behind in almost every field as compared to China and other developed countries. Any war will only take our progress backwards which we can''t afford in the current state of development.
