India’s top steelmaker plans to triple output at its Texas plant as the US and China trade punches in what may become an extended trade war, sparked by President Donald Trump’s tariffs on imports of the metal.

随着中国和美国或陷入旷日持久的贸易战中，印度最大的钢铁制造商计划让德克萨斯工厂的产量扩大至三倍。此次中美贸易战，是特朗普总统对进口钢铝产品加收关税所引发的。

The US unit of JSW Steel Ltd. has signed an agreement with the Governor of Texas to consider an investment of as much as $500 million, the Mumbai-based steelmaker said in a statement on Monday. JSW will invest about $150 million to raise capacity at its existing plate and pipe mill complex and spend the rest to set up a new hot metal facility, it said.

总部位于孟买的金达尔钢铁在一份声明中称，金达尔钢铁的美国工厂，已经和德克萨斯州州长签署了一份协议，计划投资多达5亿美元。

声明称，金达尔钢铁打算投资大约1.5亿美元，用于提高现有工厂的产能，其余资金用于建立一家新工厂。
