The upcoming 2018 US midterm elections might be targeted by Russia, China, North Korea, and Iran, National Security Advisor John Bolton has warned, while declining to provide any evidence.

Meanwhile, Democratic Senator Bill Nelson has shown quite an obsession with Russian “penetration,” which supposedly occurred in “certain counties” of Florida ahead of the midterms - even though security officials said they found no evidence of any such breach.

Apart from politicians, the “China scare” has been passionately trumpeted by the US military over the past few years. The Pentagon’s annual assessment of China's military capabilities, published this week, painted quite a grim picture. Beijing’s air force, according to the report, has “rapidly expanded its overwater bomber operating areas...and [is] likely training for strikes against US and allied targets.” Moreover, the report claimed that China is developing “kinetic-kill missiles, ground-based lasers, and orbiting space robots” to target US satellites in space – just as Donald Trump works to get his much-touted "Space Force" off the ground.

Turkey GDP PPP is 2trn $, which is 9 times smaller than US's, not 50 like you implied. EU placed several bn euros large tarrif on US goods, which is form of a boycott. Canada is biggest US vassal and matters the least.

Not completely useless for global trade. It affects it very much, but differently from nominal values. China is using exactly that to boost it's export and rapid growth. If you currency is weak, you can sell quality products for less money internationally, thereby flooding global markets.
Exchange rates have nothing to do with amount of service and goods on currency represents internationally. That why PPP exists, and it uses complex calculations, to estimate value of one currency on international scale.
And to address another complete B/S you said, what one Chinese citizen pays another for their domestic products influence global markets very much, as directly proportional to that, other countries will have more or less space on Chinese market. If I am an exporter from US, I want my product to be good and affordable to all markets, if one market has equal domestic product for 3 times less price, I lose customers and therefore money. This works for all markets everywhere.
