BEIJING: China's indigenously-built new multi-role combat aircraft for exports has made its debut flight, the state-run media reported Saturday.

The FTC-2000G, a new multirole combat aircraft developed for export by the State-owned Aviation Industry Corp of China, (AVIC) made its debut flight on Friday in the southwest Guizhou province, state-run China Daily reported.

据介绍，FTC-2000G飞机由中国航空工业贵州飞机有限责任公司(以下简称“中国航空工业贵飞公司”)自主创新研制、具有完全自主知识产权的军贸飞机，主要用于出口

The FTC-2000G aircraft flew for about 16 minutes. More than 1,000 people, including AVIC executives and provincial leaders as well as ambassadors and military attaches from several nations, took part in the ceremony marking the debut flight, it said.

此次，FTC-2000G飞机进行了10分钟的航线飞行。超过1000多人，包括AVIC的高管们，还有省领导，以及一些国家的大使，在现场观看了首飞。

The FTC-2000G is a fixed-wing, multi-role combat plane tasked mainly with airstrikes against ground targets. It can also be used as a fighter jet or trainer aircraft, AVIC said in a statement.

AVIC在一份声明中称，FTC-2000G飞机是固定翼多用途战机，主要用于对地攻击，也可以用来当做战机和教练机。

India co-developed a 5th gen stealth fighter with Russia. just like it co-developed the great BhraMos missile. India provided billions $ in funding but nothing came out of it yet after 10 years. It''s only because the incompetent Russians refused to have any Indian talents participating in the project and not using India technology. Had Russia co-developed even a bullock or cow cart with India, it would be a great success.

Our LCA may be high on performance and quality but we are struggling to make 8 per year. CHina''s production capacities are at least five tiimes greater than ours.
