In a bold move that’s as creepy as it is impressive, China’s state-run news agency Xinhua has unveiled its new ‘AI news anchors’ which will be broadcasting across the company’s TV and web platforms.

中国官方通讯社新华社最近揭晓了它的新型“人工智能（AI）新闻主播”，并将在该社的电视和网络平台上播报新闻。这一大胆举动既令人印象深刻，但也让人感觉有些诡异。

File footage of human anchor Zhang Zhao forms the base layer over which animated mouths and other facial features are placed to produce twin AI anchors; one Chinese-speaking and the other catering to English-speaking audiences.

该技术以新华社真人主播张昭的影像资料为基础，并在其上加入嘴部和其它面部动画特征，从而生成两个人工智能（AI）主播：一个讲汉语，另外一个讲英语以服务英语观众。

It is funny , in 1920 czech writer wrote sci-fi novel R.U.R (Rossums Universal Robots) where he describes artifical inteligence to take over humans.

Google Duplex is far better. They had to force Google Duplex to announce it isn't human as people can't differentiate between Google Duplex and humans.

Congratulation! Much better way than developing AI for military things. But in my point of view it’s absolutely essential that the mankind comes together and thinking about (e.g. an ethical AI council) how we want to live and deal with AI in our future - As soon as possible ..!
