India's first semi-high speedtrain, the Vande Bharat Express, flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi onFriday broke down near Tundla on Saturday. The train was returning fromVaranasi when the incident happened.

印度首列半高铁（又名Vande Bharat特快）上周六在Tundla附近发生故障，而仅仅一天前，印度总理莫迪才出席开通仪式并亲自挥旗发车。事故发生时，火车正从Varanasi返程。

According to media reports,there's no electricity in 4 coaches and breaks were jammed due to enginefailure.

据媒体报道，共有4节车厢停电，且由于发动机故障，线路被迫中断。



It became India's fastesttrain by hitting speeds of over 180 kmph during a trial run on a section of theDelhi-Mumbai Rajdhani route.

由于该列车曾在一次试运行中，在首都线的德里至孟买段跑出180km/h的时速，使其一举成为印度最快的火车。

Train 18, which has beenrecently rechristened Vande Bharat Express, can run up to a maximum speed of160 kmph. It already reached 130 kmph speed in its first journey. The trainaims to provide a totally new travel experience to passengers.

Train 18（最近已被重新命名为Vande Bharat特快）最高时速可达160km/h。其第一次行程中就已经实现了130km/h的时速。这列火车旨在为乘客提供一种全新的旅行体验。
