BEIJING: China will be the only country to have a space station in service in 2024 as theInternational Space Stationcurrently in service would retire by then a Chinese space officialsaid.

北京：中国在2024年将成为唯一拥有在役空间站的的国家，届时当前运行的国际空间站将会退休除役，一名中国航太官员说。

When the International Space Station retires in 2024 China's space station may be the only one left in service Lei Fanpei chairman of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corp. (CASC) said.

雷凡培（中国航天科技集团公司董事长）称，当2024年国际空间站退役后，中国空间站可能成为唯一运转服务的太空站。

China recently successfully launched a second experimental space lab. Two astronauts were expected to join the lab later this month for month long stay and experiments.

中国最近成功发射了第二个试验性质的空间实验室。两位航太员在本月晚些时间期望送入该空间实验室停留一个月并做相关实验。

The main lab was expected to be ready by 2022.

核心空间站预期2022年完成建设工作。
