BEIJING: People's Liberation Army would empty the US undersea drone ofintelligence data before returning it to the US navy, feel Chinese experts. The experts also demanded that the US should stop "spying activities" in the South China Sea under the guise of freedom of navigation+ .

北京：有中国专家认为中国在归还人民解放军在归还美国无人潜水器之前可能会清除里面的情报数据。这些专家还呼吁美国应该停止以自由航行为幌子在南海进行“间谍行为”。

Chinese defense ministry had said it would return the drone to the US "in an appropriate manner" without explaining what it meant. The statement came after Washington demanded that the drone, which had been seized by the Chinese navyon Thursday, be handed back.
