繁體字 isn't better than 简体字.
Join the 甲骨文 master race.

No because it's a pain in the ass

well... they can as well switch to English

China going back to 繁體字 is about as likely as we going back to writing English using medi Gothic scxt. If a person didn't grow up with 繁體字 it takes a bit longer to read and write due to lack of familiarity. Far more practical to use what you know best in daily communication.
Sane people don't pick their writing based on political allegiance or which scxt best personifies the 5000 years heritage of the Chinese people.

No because there's absolutely no reason to. The cost would be enormous software would be rendered useless education systems would have to be completely reformed literature rewritten the list goes on and on.

No. There's no reason for them to. I can however imagine HK/Macau/Taiwan making the change to simplified in the distant future as China's influence becomes greater.

Hope not but you're probably right.

If you scrutinize the history of 汉字,you can see the trend: it's becoming simpler. So I don't think China will return to 繁体字. It's more complex and it will increase the illiterate

Would be cool but there is no reason for this. Many can already read traditional scxt anyways.

Yet I see many incorrect traditional scxt signage advertisements all over Toronto and Vancouver presumably written by mainland immigrants.
Particularly in Toronto I mystified by the fact almost every Lanzhou Lamian store uses the half-traditional half-simplified

Personally I think Japanese Kanji strikes a somewhat happy balance between tradition and simplicity.
气 vs. 氣 simp. vs trad.
Japanese Kanji:気
Won't break your hand writing 888 of them but also doesn't look incomplete as some simplified chars do.

Plenty of examples where simplified Chinese is in the middle in terms of simplicity.

hmmmm…for people using 简体字 is easier than 繁体字. 简体字 costs less action to write a letter.
for example "sadness turtle"
meet the defferent now?
it almost cost triple time to write same letter.
hhhhhhhha!
