PYONGYANG: North Korea paraded its intercontinental ballistic missiles in a massive military display in central Pyongyang today, with ruler Kim Jong Un looking on with delight as his nation flaunted its increasingly sophisticated military hardware amid rising regional tensions.

今天，朝鲜在平壤大阅兵上展示了洲际弹道导弹，在地区形势紧张之际炫耀其日益先进的军事装备，而金正恩愉悦地观看了阅兵。

Kim did not speak during the annual parade, which celebrates the 1912 birthday of his late grandfather Kim Il Sung, North Korea's founding ruler, but a top official warned that the North would stand up to any threat posed by the United States.

金并未在阅兵上发言。这次阅兵是为了纪念已故祖父金日成1912年的诞辰日。

Dangerous games going on in Korean Peninsula... US has sent their aircraft carrier signalling their intents. Kim Jong In isn't going to back down. On the other hand North Korea is no Iraq or Syria. They have powerful weapons. Their weapons program is progressing at rapid pace, US is worried if they develop ICBM capable of reaching US mainland so it has to stop North Korea. But any agression will be be dangerous for US allies South Korea and Japan. South K especially is too close to North Korea for comfort. It's a game of chess. North Korea is China's Ally, so for India, enemy's friend is enemy. This must be causing sleepless nights to China as if US attack North, US military is right at their doorstep, something that makes them nervous. Sit back and watch the suspense....
