This is a question of being lack of common sense.

UN was established in 1945, when india was only a part of British empire and not even a country. How could it get a seat of UNSC?

Such saying is really bullshit(apologies for my impropriety!).

The best time for India to negotiate a UNSC seat was in fact before Partition, with the 1942 Cripps' mission when Britain was at a low point in the war and Roosevelt was applying pressure on Britain for Indian independence. India had already had individual membership in the League of Nations since its founding. Participating as a major ally represented in the Allied World War II conferences would have become UNSC permanent membership.

Of course it’s a rumor. Permanent seats were given to the four main Allies countries (ROC, UK, USA and USSR) and France. 34 years later PRC got the China seat and 46 years later Russia heritaged the Soviet seat.

Never is there a place for India.

It was not in 45 but much later! In 1945, India was not independent & China was not a Communist country. And India didn't give its seat to China, but foolishly said ‘we will join as permanent member of security council only if China is also given a similar seat!’ China didn't reciprocate this favour. Why? Because Chinese leaders Mao Tse Dong, Zhou en Lai or Deng were not ‘Pappu’ like Nehru was!

india did not give its UNSC sit it just recommended a sit for China its just a misconception that india gave its unsc sit to china pls upvote.

At the formation of UN, CHINA, Republic of China then ruled by Kuomintang party until 1949 was one of 5 nations to get permanent UNSC seat. India was never offered permanent seat at UNSC. However during the 1950s India’s prime minister did argue the case with Western powers that Mainland China (People’s Republic of China) be given the “China” seat. If you recall, US did not have relations with mainland (communist ruled ) China. And US did not recognize that government. The UNSC seat for China was occupied by the Republic of China_ROC (Kuomintang government) in Taiwan. Mr. Nehru and many therild world countries felt that seat should be occupied by the “real” China ( and not Taiwan).

Of course after Nixon opened the relationship with mainland in early 70s everything started changing. US recognized mainland China (People’s Republic of China) and Taiwan (ROC) was kicked out of the UN.

联合国成立伊始，当时国民党统治下的中国是安理会5个常任理事国之一，联合国从来就没有向印度提供过席位。

然而，1950年代时候，当时的印度首相确实与西方大国争辩，说中国的席位应该给中国大陆（中华人民共和国）。不过美国并未承认当时的大陆政府。
