印媒：北京是如何处理污染的

NEW DELHI: Beijing's local government is working on a target to bring down the average PM2.5 level to 60 micrograms per cubic metre in 2017 from the 73 last year (Delhi's annual average over the last three years was 132). Experts say Beijing and other polluted provinces have recorded a consistent improvement in air quality in line with the targets set for them.
Here'e how the city tackles pollution:

新德里：北京当地政府正制定一个目标，将2017年的PM2.5的平均值从去年的73微克/m3降至60微克/m3（过去三年，德里年平均浓度为132微克）。专家表示，北京和其他受污染的省份的空气质量一直在持续改善，这符合他们的目标。

以下是该城市如何处理污染的：

BLUE ALERT
AQI predicted to be greater than 200 and lasting one day.
* Advise vulnerable people (children, elderly, CVD patients and other chronic disease patients) to limit outdoor activity
* Middle schools, elementary, schools and kindergartens to reduce outdoor activity
* Enhance dust-control measures

Votes are more important than pollution. If you impose restrictions on local population to reduce pollution then you will lose popular vote. Losing votes is most feared by politicians. Therefore even if there is increase in pollution, who cares??
