NEW DELHI: India and ten Asean countries on Thursday agreed to establish a mechanism for greater cooperation in the maritime domain, a move which comes in the wake of growing concerns in the region over China's rising military posturing in the South China Sea.

周四，印度和东盟10国同意建立更广泛的海上合作机制，这一举动是对中国在南海不断抬高的军事姿态的日益担忧下做出的。

The move to set up a mechanism for greater cooperation in the maritime domain assumes significance as a number of Asean countries have territorial disputes with China in the resource-rich South China Sea.

建立更广泛的海上合作机制具有重要意义，很多东盟国家在资源丰富的南海存在领土争端。
