BEIJING: Close ties between militaries of China and Pakistan will not only help maintain an all-weather partnership between the two countries but also the regional peace and global stability, the People's Liberation Army (PLA) said on Thursday.

China's 2.3 million-strong military is the world's largest, and Pakistan has emerged as the biggest consumer of the China-produced military hardware. In the past five years, Pakistan has bought 41 per cent of China's exported weapons, according to analysts.

周四，解放军表示，中巴军队的亲密关系，不仅有助保持两国的全天候合作伙伴关系，而且有助维护地区和平与全球稳定。

中国230万之众的军队，是世界规模最大的军队，而巴基斯坦已经成为中国武器的最大进口国。

有分析人士称，过去5年里，中国出口的武器中，有40%是被巴基斯坦买走。

Pakistan is seeking to make China its main supplier of military hardware, partly due to the looser financial terms offered by Beijing, replacing traditional suppliers from the west.

巴基斯坦致力于把中国当做武器的主要供应国，部分原因是北京开的融资条款宽松，从而取代了传统的西方国家。

"China and Pakistan share all-weather partnership. We have maintained very high level of defence exchange and cooperation," Chinese military spokesman, Col Ren Guoqiang told a media briefing here.

"At the same time, I am very confident that military cooperation will help facilitate our state to state relationship and also in maintaining regional peace and international stability", he said.

中国军方发言人在新闻发布会上说，“中国和巴基斯坦有着全天候合作伙伴关系。我们保持着相当高水平的国防交流与合作。同时，我坚信军事合作不仅有助推动国家之间的关系，而且有利于保持地区和平与国际稳定。”

Closer military ties between China and Pakistan means that India will have to militarily stronger to fight Pakistan encouraged terrorism against India and to defend India''s borders both from Pakistan and China. Alternative steps for India will be stronger military ties with Russia, U.S. and possibly with Iran, even though Iran is under watch from U.s and U.S and Russia relations are bad for the present. India will be required to maintain good relation with U.S. and Russia both. On the positive side also China needs India as trading partner for economic advantage, may be for both India and China.

中巴军事关系密切，意味着印度军队必须更加强大，才有实力打击巴基斯坦支持的反印恐怖主义，才能在中巴方向守住边界。

还有一个办法，那就是与俄罗斯、美国甚或伊朗建立牢固的军事关系，虽然美国和俄罗斯的关系目前很糟糕。

同时与美俄保持友好关系，是必须的。

从好的方面来看，中国贸易也需要印度这个伙伴。

Funny! When has there not been close ties between Chinese and Pakistani armies? This statement could be directed against NATO build up in Afghanistan. It could also be a politicised reassurrance to Pakistani citizens to ensure that their only hope of secure administration continues to be under their Army''s benevolence viz CPEC''s economics and functionality and security.

USA had surrounded China with defense pacts/allies of Taiwan, South Korea, Japan. India did it with historical good will from from the east and south east Asian nations. China is trying to do it with billions of dollars export surplus dollars. where do we stand! I think we will end up like colony for it, just as in British colonial days!

Please, we too should bat and bowl for closer ties between the paki and the mercenary army of the slit eyed Chinese. I do hope that this kind of cooperation will lead to at least some of the Chinese military becoming Peaceful in nature.
