The work on the country's first high speed bullet train between Ahmedabad and Mumbai is on in full swing with the designing of bridges and tunnels progressing well, a senior official has said.

高铁的征地工作也已经启动。

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Japanese counterpart Shinzo Abe had last year launched the ambitious project, which is expected to be completed by 2022.

When Modi proposes bullet train it''s called development and bhakts say all hail modi ji. At the same time if CBN asks for funds to develop the capital city after the unscientific bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, ppl say he''s over ambitious and political drama. If you say bullet train project brings job opportunities then building a capital will also bring a lot of job opportunities. I don''t understand this hypocrisy at all.

Haha... 80% design work on bridges and tunnels done so far. Such a shame. This way it takes 40 yrs to get a bullet train in India. Country like Denmark builds a tunnel 12 kms in sea and 12 kms over sea in 6 yrs.
