WASHINGTON: For the second time this week, the White House South Lawn is thesetting for a grand welcome ceremony. This time, it's for Chinese President XiJinping.

华盛顿：这是本周白宫草坪上举行的第二次盛大欢迎仪式。这一次是为了中国主席习近平。

The ceremony for the Chinese leader looks similar to the one the White Househeld on Wednesday for Pope Francis, but with a few notable exceptions.

为中国领导人举行的这次仪式看起来像周三白宫为教皇所举行的仪式，但存在一些显着的差别。

The crowd is far smaller for Xi's welcomeand the ceremony includes the traditional 21-gun salute.

欢迎习的观众显然更少，而且仪式中包含了传统的21礼炮。

The White House says it skipped the firing of weapons when Francis arrived indeference to the pope's humility.

China issuperpower they deserve it. While indian PM couldnt get it as US didnt wantedto waste 21 canon shots on beggar from third world.

With the low moral values and poor workculture of indians, I doubt if any of our leaders ( PM/ president) would everget such a grand welcome in US.

If President Mukherjee visits USA, he willsurely get a 21 gun salute. All heads of state are given the same. The sameapplies to most other countries including India.
