SHANGHAI: The first regional jet producedin China's initiative to compete in the commercial aircraft market made itsdebut flight on Tuesday carrying 70 passengers.

上海：中国用于竞争商业客机市场的国产支线客机周二携带70名乘客进行了首飞。

The ARJ21-700 jet is one of a series of initiatives launched by the rulingCommunist Party to transform China from the world's low-cost factory into acreator of profitable technology in aviation, clean energy and other fields.

ARJ21-700是中共所发起的众多项目中的一个，目的是为了将中国从世界低成本工厂转变成有利可图的先进技术的创造者，包括航空，清洁能源和其他领域。

The plane operated by Chengdu Airlines took its passengers from the westerncity of Chengdu to Shanghai in two hours.

这架由成都航空公司运营的客机从成都飞往上海，用了两个小时。

Something that we should learn from. Itshouldn''t be Make in India that we need to focus, but innovate and make thingthat are Indian that should be our priority. Just by getting MNCs to make andmanufacture in India, all we are encouraging is more pollution (since we don''thave a proper framework for monitoring these) and more outflow of money(in theform of royalties).
