WASHINGTON: China is likely to establish additional military bases in Pakistan and other countries with which it has a longstanding friendly ties and similar strategic interests a new Pentagon report has said.

In its annual report to the Congress on China's military build-up the US Department of Defence said China's construction of military base in the strategic location of Djibouti is just the first of what will likely be an ongoing expansion in friendly foreign ports around the world.

China is expanding its access to foreign ports to pre- position the necessary logistics support to regularise and sustain deployments in the "far seas" waters as distant as the Indian Ocean Mediterranean Sea and Atlantic Ocean.

Nothing to fear. We should encourage Pakis to take in more chinese arms. It will drive up their maintenance cost. We are over estimating the power of PLA. PLA has no combat experience since India china war where it almost lost to our police force (had we used our airforce; strangely IAF was missing in action)

As already stated in my previous post that reading Chinese minds is beyond comprehension for Indian minds/bureaucracy. Further what China and Pakistan are doing is open war but India is not able to fire any single shot except aimless firing from inside of Indian borders. India now stand alone in chakravyuh which also they do not understand. wait till China uses Nepal to fire on us.

Sure the report is going to be true. China has superpower ambition and India is one of their targets. Also the recent developments and progress in the country and the quality of leadership in Delhi is an irritant to Chinese leadership in their path.

poor analysis by PTI on china Setting up base in Pakistan. This development would help India confront realistically with China-Pakistan combine rather suspecting for 2 border war. It rather helps India a lot militarily to plan for contingencies. Moreover it going to deteriorate Pakistan-Iran equation drastically.

China has become powerful because of all the money they made exporting cheap Chinese manufactured goods to the USA and Europe so if the West is serious about containing China they need to start buying less from China....the question is will they ? ....most likely no as they want cheap goods.
