Gurmeet Ram RahimSingh, head of spiritual sect Dera Sacha Sauda has been declared guilty in arape case by a special CBI court in Panchkula.

哈里亚纳邦潘切库拉中央调查局特别法院宣布“真神宫”的精神领袖古尔米特•罗摩•拉希姆•辛格，强奸罪名成立。



According toreports, the victim, who is a former follower, accused Ram Rahim Singh ofrepeatedly raping her inside the Dera campus near Sirsa in Haryana.

The head of theDera Sacha Sauda sect also has two murder charges against him, one forallegedly killing journalist Ram Chander Chatrapati in 2001, and the other forkilling sect manager Ranjit Singh in July 2002

The incident tookplace in 1999. An FIR was registered in 2002, however the Dera chief and themanagement of the sect have denied the allegations all throughout. Followingthe verdict, curfews have been imposed in several areas of the city and acrossthe state of Punjab.

Asaram Bapu, thepreacher of One Supreme Conscious, and follower of Advaita Vedanta was arrestedfor a case of sexual assault against a minor in 2013.

He was booked bythe police on charges of wrongful confinement, criminal intimidation, and rape.

3.      Swami Amrita Chaitanya

Self-styledspiritual teacher Swami Amrita Chaitanya, also known as Santosh Madhavan, wasaccused in several cheating cases; sentenced to16 years in prison in 2009 forraping two minor girls; and producing pornographic films of underage girls.

斯瓦米•阿姆瑞塔•柴塔尼亚又叫桑托斯•马达瓦，自称精神导师，涉嫌参与数起诈骗案。2009年因为强奸2名未成年少女和录制未成年少女色情视频而被判入狱16年。

He had also beenarrested in March 2008 for conning an NRI woman of Rs 45 lakh.

The 'Godman' whowas known to have performed rituals for top dignitaries of the country waseventually caught for running an underground brothel.

This self-styledgodman was nabbed by Haryana police after they found the bodies of five womenand an 18-month-old child at his Satlok ashram in Hisar.

Sant Rampal was later arrested and jailed for 22 months.

In the guise ofleading a spiritual life Ichchadhari Sant Swami was running a flourishing fleshtrade racket. Ichchadhari Sant Swami Bhimanand Ji Maharaj Chitrakoot Wale,whose real name is Shiv Murat Dwivedi, was arrested twice for being involved ina large-scale sex racket in Delhi and later in Mumbai.
