China has dispatched warplanes to the South China Sea and the Western Pacific for combat readiness drills, the PLA Air Force has announced, just days after the US Navy exercised its ‘freedom of navigation’ in disputed waters.

在美国海军在有争议海域“自由航行”几天后，中国已向南海和西太平洋派出战机，准备进行战备演练。

The Chinese Air Force (PLAAF) has moved its H-6K bombers and Su-30 and Su-35 fighters to a number of potential war theaters in the region, sending some planes to the South China Sea and others to the area of Miyako Strait, a strategic entryway into the Western Pacific that lies close to Japan.

中国空军已出动H-6K轰炸机与苏-35苏-30战斗机群飞越宫古海峡（一个进入西太平洋,靠近日本的战略入口）成体系前出西太平洋开展实战化军事训练；同时组织轰-6K、苏-35等多型多架战机飞赴南海，实施联合战斗巡航。

“Air Force exercises are rehearsals for future wars and are the most direct preparation for combat,” Chinese Air Force spokesman Shen Jinke announced Sunday, according to Reuters.

据路透社报道，中国空军发言人沈金科周日宣布:“空军演习是对未来战争的演练，是最直接的作战准备。”

While the statement did not mention when the exercises took place, it did stress that the air power remains “an important force for managing and controlling crises, containing war and winning battles.”

尽管该声明没有提及演习何时进行，但它强调，空军仍是“管理和控制危机、遏制战争和赢得战争的重要力量”。

The news of the drills comes just a day after the USS Mustin came within 12 nautical miles of Mischief Reef in the Spratly Islands archipelago, in the South China Sea. Despite Washington having no claims or aspirations in the resource-rich South China Sea, the US Navy conducts frequent ‘Freedom of Navigation’ operations in the area. China has repeatedly condemned such incursions as a threat to its territorial interests.

此次演习的消息发布前一天，美国海军马斯廷号导弹驱逐舰在南中国海斯普拉特利群岛群岛的美济礁外12海里处出现。尽管美国政府在资源丰富的南海没有任何声明或主张，但美国海军在该地区经常“自由航行”。中国一再谴责这种对其领土利益的威胁侵犯行为。

The question is why, under what law, being called by who, the US is meddling with China in the South China Sea. 
The Gulf of Mexico is 15 thousand kms away. Still, the US meddling, bullying without being called by no-one. The ASEAN countries and China are grown ups, don't need the imperial noses sniffing and puttng wedges between countries to gain leverage in somewhere no one called them

The South China sea is just a name like the Indian Ocean, it doesn't mean China owns all the territory in that sea, parts of it go right into other countries mainland's.
