NEW DELHI: India is committed to build 50,000 houses for internally displacedpeople in Sri Lanka, Lok Sabha was informed today.

新德里：印度承诺为斯里兰卡国内的无家可归者建设50000套住宅，人民院今天宣布。

Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju said theproject envisages construction of new houses and repair of damaged houses andit is being implemented through two models, agency driven and owner-beneficiarydriven.

主管民用住宅的国务部长Kiren Rijiju说，本计划设想建造新房屋和维修损坏房屋，通过两个模式来实现，一种是代理驱动，一种是业主驱动。

"The beneficiaries of the housing projectare identified through a consultative process," he said in reply to awritten question.

他在回答作者的提问时提到，“通过咨询程序来确定房屋的受益人。”

Rijiju said as per the information received fromthe state governments of Tamil Nadu and Odisha, a total of 1,01,368 Sri LankanTamil refugees are presently staying in the country.

Rijiju说根据从泰米尔纳德邦和奥里萨邦政府收到的信息，国内总共有101368名斯里兰卡泰米尔难民。

"There has been no organised repatriationof Sri Lankan Tamil refugees since 1995," he said.

The Minister said the Sri Lankan government hasreleased nearly 2,000 acres of land to internally displaced persons in theNorthern and Eastern provinces.

部长说斯里兰卡政府拿出了2000英亩的土地来安置北部和东部各省无家可归的难民。

In January 2015, the External Affairs Minister,during her meeting with visiting Sri Lankan Foreign Minister, has urged the SriLankan government to create conducive environment for Sri Lankan refugees toreturn to Sri Lanka.

2015年1月，外部事务部长，在会见斯里兰卡外交部长时，敦促斯里兰卡政府为斯里兰卡难民回国创造有利条件。

The Sri Lankan government has been extendingfacilities, including education, civil documentation and medical services toany returning Sri Lankan citizen after staying as refugee, including in India,he said.
