NEW DELHI: China is planning to build more aircraft carriers to bolster its maritime capabilities, which could pose a bigger threat to India. A Chinese security expert was quoted by state-run news outlet, Global Times, as saying that China could have at least six aircraft carriers in the future.

为了支撑本国海军能力，中国正在计划建造更多航母，而这可能对印度构成更大威胁。

环球时报引述中国一位安全专家的话，称中国未来至少造6艘航母。

China is also planning to build more naval bases across the world, especially in countries such as Pakistan, with whom it has close economic and military relations. The bases are being planned for the six aircraft carriers.

另外，中国计划在全世界修建更多海军基地，特别是在巴基斯坦等其保持着亲密经济和军事关系的国家。

China’s latest modernisation plans can pose a problem for India which is witnessing increasing Chinese naval activity in its backyard, the Indian Ocean. In the past, Chinese nuclear submarines have docked in Karachi.

No country except Pakistan will annoy US nd offer bases to China nd China will realise merely money power doesnot win u frnds..u need moral power of democracy nd lot of senitivity for any other country'concerns. China is building ships and developing its defense capabilities at an amazing speed whereas india is going at a snails pace.every defense project or ship building will be at least 8 to 10 years late and then there will be scams and corruption in those projects.. when is india going to develop??

In today's scenario an aircraft carrier is a very vulnerable target especially so when it is operating in the Indian ocean where the Indian peninsula juts out in the Indian Ocean. Moreover the Andaman and Nicobar islands control entry and exit to/ Straits of Malacca. Let the Chinese make as many carriers as they want. They will provide excellent high value targets for our Bhromoh missiles and long range fighters, not forgetting our submarine arm.
