I can never even think of this type. India is the safest country for everyone. India always cordially welcome to everyone. If anyone is not safe in India, trust me she /he won't be safe in any country. India is well known for its ‘Unity in diversity.
But here asked ‘why do you want to leave India, if you do?
Although I don't want to leave India but these reasons may be reasons for me to leave India if I have to leave it ever.
Hinduism is considering as Patriotism : If you support Ram mandir, then yes you are a true Patriot. If you worship cows, yes you are a true patriot. If you hate Muslims, definitely you are true patriot. If you support Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti and hate any Ahmed or Khan (who accused for stealing), yes you are patriot. If you boycott Shah Rukh Khan's movies, don't say anything you are a certified patriot. If you oppose caste based reservation but feel proud to be a Kshatriya or Brahman, oh yes you are a true patriot, only you think about India, everyone except Hindu is traitor. Recently I heard Uma Bharati's statement regarding Babri masque demolition. She says ‘Humne Babri Masjid kisi saajish ke tahat nahin giraya, jo bhi kiya khullam khulla kiya aur hame is par garv hai. (we didn't demolish Babri Masque with pre planned conspiracy, we demolished it openly, and we are proud on it). Suppose if there were Temple inspite of Masque and a Muslim leader inspite of Uma Bharati, what would be scene? I don't even want to guess. I know Ram mandir is a very sensitive matter or it has been made a very sensitive matter by the politicians for the sake of vote bank. I live in Gorakhpur U P, I have lots of Muslim friends, very few of them oppose Ram mandir take it as 2%.Maximum support Ram mandir and maximum don't want to talk on this issue because they think this will only spread hatred between Hindu and Muslim, and we should wait for decision made by court. I am a proud Hindu but I always oppose extremism. I always consider Hindu and Muslim as brothers, I believe in our great culture “ Ganga Jamuni Tahzeeb.” I am inspired by a dialogue narrated by Paresh Rawal in the movie OMG: OH MY GOD, when TV anchor asks his views on religion, he says ‘Mere hisab se to dharm do hi kaam karta hai, ya to insaan ko bebas banata hai ya fir aatankawadi.’ (Accordingly to me, Religions do two works, either it makes a person helpless or terrorist.)
Healthy debate is a myth now a days in India : I have a very bad habit, when I debate with a BJP supporter, I pretend that I support Congress or AAP. When I debate with an AAP supporter or Congress supporter, I pretend that I am a BJP supporter. But what I get in return, although I have some good debates too but 95% times I felt disappointed and abused by other one. There is very less chances of good and healthy debates, no one wants to listen a single bad word against one's supported party. I firmly believe that appreciation and criticism are very essential parts of democracy, excess of criticism leads to dictatorship and excess of appreciation also leads to dictatorship. If we want to make our country great we should support our politicians in good decisions whether we support that party or not and criticise for bad decisions, especially when we support that party. No one can be perfect it is our duty to correct them. Don't be a blind follower or blind hater. We all love our country, our India. Just don't support any one on the basis of caste, region, religion, or having a hatred issue.
Corruption : corruption is the biggest problem of India. Recently in a survey, 67% people accepted that they had to give bribe for their works, this is even worse than Pakistan. I was reading a local news yesterday, a man had paid rs 5 lakhs as a bribe for his work, he was a middle class man and hardly managed that amount. When he went to office the day before yesterday and asked about his work, a babu (clerk) asked rs one lakh more, this was really as a tsunami for that person, he poured kerosene oil on him and tried to attempt suicide. Although he is safe now but this incident really left a worse mark in my heart. When will India be free of corruption, when will people enjoy their life and not suffer. India is the only country where people feel unsafe to see a policeman, too much irony. But I personally think no any government can make corruption free India, it is our duty, we should do something on our level, we should be aware, when every individual Indian will stand against corruption, then India may be corruption free (I used ‘may be’ cause there are maximum people who don't hesitate to give bribe, some give for illegal works and some give for necessity without those facilities they can't servive and bribe is only option.)
Pollution and health facilities : India is a underdeveloped country, the level of pollution increases day by day, I lived in New Delhi for six months and when I went back to my home town Gorakhpur, I was suffering from Asthma. Even Gorakhpur is also not much pure. The population of Gorakhpur is increasing drastically and pollution is increasing thrice proportional to population. If this situation persists longer then 2/3 of population will be suffered from Asthma in 2030. And there is no more hope for reducing the level of pollution. Now health facilities, we are worse than some African countries in health based facilities, we are lacking in doctors, we don't fulfill the ratio between doctor and patient. There are 1800 doctors on 10 lakhs of population. And it is reducing day by day. Medicine department is also corrupted, if you are poor, don't have enough money to be treated well. You won't be treated good and even some workers and doctors can misbehave with you. I have seen these types of cases many times. Whenever I visit medical college of my city. I see how poor people are sitting on ground and how they are humiliated by junior doctors and pharmacists. They are not provided enough medicine as ordered by government and doctors. Those who are rich prefer private hospitals or foreign hospitals but an ordinary person can't afford expenses of private hospital, I have seen a person dying from malaria, which could be treated easily. The huminity of doctors are on the edge of dearth.
Media : Indian media are really negative, whether it is print media, social media or audio visual media. Every medium of news is only spreading negativity, fear, hatred. What we read, hear or watch leaves on us a great effect on our mentality, of we are only engulfed by negativity, how can we expect we will do some better for India. Just read a newspaper, turn whole pages and you will find 90% negative news. There is also happening good things too, every day someone makes us proud, someone helps to raise people's living standards but you will never find these positive news in newspapers or news channels, they are busy to gain viewers and TRP. Positive news won't increase their TRP. If someone wants to create something great, she /he must be optimistic and positive during the phase of creation, but can we be positive more than two hours? I don't think so. And this is the reason, after having second largest population on earth we are miles away from being developed and we are one of poorest country. How can anyone achieve great things if that person has negative mindset and even don't trust oneself. Now I don't watch news channels, I have deactivated all social media accounts except Quora, I feel really good and optimistic, I want to contribute in development of India so I have to leave these news channels and social media for one more year.
These are the reasons, excess of any two reasons can make me think whether I should live in India or not. But I will always be Indian and proud on myself to be an Indian.
Correct me if I am wrong in any point and if you have been hurt by any statement please tell me instead of having any grudge against me.

1. Most of the work done in firms in India is just the donkey work which is passed on to Indian counterparts by the US based companies. Given that, majority of the population are involved in technology or the management sector, it is inevitable that they would be working for a US based company. The quality of work is far far better in developed nations as compared to India, for the same company.
2. Noise. India is just more nosier, and polluted compared to the developed nations. People have little regard for noise pollution and incessantly honk their cars and trucks on the road. I can't even imagine opening my window on some evenings. This might not be a big deal for others, but having seen developed nations, I can say I would much more prefer a clean and quite surrounding.
3. Struggle. Your average package after passing out from a fair MBA college in India is around half of what is costed you to study there. Your average package after passing out from a fair MBA college in USA is around double of what is costed you to study there. So basically there is lesser return on investment, lesser standard of living. more years of living in debt and, struggle.
4. Places are getting smaller. Let's face it. Having one of the highest population densities in the world is doing us no good. Places are getting smaller, crowded and expensive. This means a variety of things. You don't get a place to sit while travelling in the bus. Places like train stations are just bursting with people. it becomes more difficult to maintain places like public toilets etc. Which means lack of sanitation. and it goes on.
5. Our Education System is broken. Reservation. Rote learning. Coaching classes to coach you to get into coaching classes to coach you to get into IIT. Pressure on students to study for IIT from 7th Standard. No emphasis on creativity. Need I say more?
6. Women Security. I don't want to live in a country where I am in constant fear of being raped if I find myself in an empty parking space or a nearly empty metro train after 10pm. I don't want to live in a country where I have to be accompanied by a male friend if I have to leave office late someday. I don't want to live in a country where I can't sleep in peace at night in a train because there is a bachelor in my compartment. I don't want to live in a country where I don't have the freedom to wear what I want because I might attract attention. I just don't want to live in this constant fear.
There are many reasons but these are the ones that completely turn me off. And most importantly, the best reason to go out of India is that it reduces the population pressure in the country which is the need of the hour. Countries with less population generally perform better than densely populated ones.1.

For me its a very simple thing… All people over here have talked about the various pros and cons of the system being screwed up to air pollution and so on.. What I wanted, was to prove to myself that I could get a job abroad…..
This is my story…
It started in 2008 when I moved to the US to pursue MS in Finance. I had done 4 years of Engineering over here in Electronics and Telecommunications, was completely disillusioned by it and then decided that doing another degree that was not related to engineering would help me figure out what I wanted…
So I spoke to a friend, what his plan was after engineering and he said he would be doing Masters in Quantitative Finance….. I was hooked, decided then and there that this is what I want to do too and started the whole process…..
I was supposed to fly in August, 2007 but had to delay my joining by 6 months due to a medical emergency. So I land in February, 2008 to start my MS in Finance course, within a month Bear Stearns collapsed and the whole world was plunged into Depression, similar to the last big one that happened in 1929…. I was still in my happy little bubble that this will eventually be over and the jobs will be back… In fact I was a bit overconfident in my ability to get a job…
I graduated in end of 2009 without any offer and was seriously contemplating what to do as nothing seemed to be working out, after 6 months I joined a small firm which allowed me to stay stateside however it was an unpaid internship. In the meanwhile a few of my friends had already started working in full time roles…
Thus passed 2010 too with no significant progress made on the job front. Finally in 2011 I left the US as my Visa got over and came back to India…I was mortified about the fact that I had let my parents and myself down…. I was beating myself up internally as to how could I screw up in such a big way….
This led me into a vicious circle where everytime I went for a job interview in India and didnt clear it, I was knocked down a peg…. Finally in 2012, I managed to land a job in an international bank in Mumbai…..Things were going pretty good however there was always this feeling in my head, that if my other friends managed to get a job and I didnt, was I never good enough? That kind of self doubt is very harmful…
So after working there for a couple of years, I started looking at opportunities abroad….Now I had some experience in an MNC and was working with people in London so I thought to leverage those things and work on improving my knowledge, communication and networking skills.
I started seeking out headhunters, talking to people and applying for roles which were an extension of what I was doing but located abroad… I had one interview for London in 2014, however I screwed that up a bit so was back to square one..
Then in 2015 I got the opportunity to go to London to visit my sister and there I met one of the headhunters. They said that they liked my profile and would see if something can be worked out…
This was in September, 2015…..I had my first interview in December and the next one in January, 2016 and finally was accepted and will be flying to London soon to start my new job…
Long story short… I wanted to prove to myself more than anyone else that I was good enough…. Thank you for reading…
There are plenty of other reasons as well but nothing trumps the above. Every other reason, I feel like I have some control over, but not this. I saw the other typical patriotic answers "stop complaining, it is up to us to change things". No, it is not up to me to solve all of the world's problems. I would like to live my life without having to worry to death about the safety of my family, especially my wife and daughter. It is not my calling in life to solve India's issues and don't judge me for it.
Other things I'd like to have in life (very basic, IMO) that I'm pretty certain I will not get in India:
1) If I happen to be in an accident, I would like to know that someone (preferably an ambulance with proper medical personnel) will take me to the hospital and that vehicles on the road will make way for the ambulance.
2) I would like to be healthy. When I was in India, I used to be down with fever twice a month on average, including asthma related issues. I've been here in the US for 5 years now and I haven't had either issue... not once!
3) I would like to do research in the cognitive sciences, which is what I'm trained to do. I spent a good decade of my life preparing for this career. I do not want to live in a country that values nothing but engineering and medicine.
4) See Human Development Reports. India is at 135. Even Palestine and Iraq seem to be doing better and that is just appalling!
5) People like the first "commenter" on this post who feel the need to go around poking their nose into everybody else's business (including how they think other people ought to raise their kids and where they ought to raise them and who provide unsolicited opinions on a million other personal matters) constitutes another major pain in the ass when living in India.
You get the idea, so I'll stop here with the list. I'm not saying other countries are perfect. However India has too many problems that will not get solved in the near future no matter how hard one tries. One only needs to look at the journey Kejriwal has taken. People laugh at him for even trying. The people of India will continue voting for the two most crooked parties and will continue being their victims in cycles of 5-10 years. So I'm sorry for not staying but do not judge me for it. If you are comfortable with spending half your professional life fighting red tape, corruption and bureaucracy, then do so by all means. I would like to put that time to better use and if another country offers me that opportunity, I'll take it.

College is one of your greatest adventures, and as many of you know and have experienced, it is a journey that changes you forever. You will never be the same and will never see things the same way again. Here are 8 things you will only understand if you studied abroad:
1. I can do anything! For many of you, the journey to a foreign country to study is the first time you are living independently and away from the comfort of family and friends. The experience provides an opportunity for you to discover yourself while gaining an understanding of a different culture. Being in a new place can be overwhelming at times, and it tests one’s ability to adapt to diverse situations while being able to problem solve. These experiences can serve as a catalyst for increased maturity. It provides the appropriate frxwork for you to believe you can tackle any issues and conquer any obstacles thrown at you throughout life.
2. My Professor – My Friend. Chances are that prior to your study abroad experience, your relationship and interactions with your professors were brief and impersonal. However colleges abroad encourage student-faculty interaction and these relationships can play a pivotal role not only during your college years but even beyond. Your professors can become your mentors, investors, future recommenders and much more!
3. There is no such thing as a silly question. Class participation is an important element of the learning process. Colleges abroad encourage students to speak up in class, express their ideas and even challenge statements or findings. Some classes / programs even allocate a grade to class participation. Teachers create a climate in which you are comfortable to ask questions and they take your comments seriously. This experience continues with you even after you leave college and allows you to challenge, question and ask for help whenever required.
4. The world is flat. Global schools become hubs for global talent – be it students or professors. Professors, regardless of area of study, expose you to innovation, models, case studies and problem statements from across the planet. As the world becomes increasingly flat, you are taught to be aware of the progress and issues facing industry and strategize on the most effective course of action. After you leave college, the exposure received allows you to seamlessly work cross-border with minimal disruptions.
5. Exams aren’t everything. Extracurricular activities form a vital part of your college experience. During your time on campus you engage in debate, clubs, competitions, talks and activities which equal in learning, if not more, to what you gain inside the classroom. After graduation, these habits continue where you involve yourself in your community, find time and pursue activities in addition to your home and work commitments.
6. I love my family. Distance truly does make the heart grow fonder. Living thousands of miles away and seeing so much makes you appreciate where you come from and what your family has done. Not only during your time at college, but even beyond, there is a newfound gratefulness for all the love and support your parents, siblings and extended family have provided.
7. I know someone everywhere. At college you meet people from across the globe and have friends all over the world. Who needs search engines – be it a business trip or a holiday – it’s great to be able to tap into your extensive network and ask about the local do’s and don’ts!
8. There will be some reverse culture shock. As surprising as it may sound to those around you, coming back home after studying abroad can take some time and adjustment. You have been transformed intellectually and personally after your time away and have new habits, ideas and beliefs, sometimes without even realizing it! Friends and family may find this difficult to comprehend, and initially you may also find it hard to adjust. However, like you immersed yourself in a foreign country, you will make your experience part of who you are and find your optimal balance to bring the best of both worlds together.
College is about self-discovery, exploring and accepting as many different ideas as possible, and pushing yourself outside your comfort zone. These experiences are hard to define and perhaps only a fellow student may understand the true depth of your endeavors.
