BEIJING: Chinese rescuers scoured through rocks on Saturday in a frantic search for more than 140 people feared buried after a landslide smashed through a mountain village in southwest Sichuan province.

周六，一场山体垮塌冲破了四川西南一个山村，中国救援人员搜遍岩石，寻找恐被埋的140多人。

A couple and a baby were rescued and taken to hospital after more than 40 homes in the village of Xinmo were swallowed by huge boulders when the side of a mountain collapsed, according to the Maoxin county government.

一对夫妇和一名婴儿被救出，然后被送往医院。
