中国年轻人对边界纠纷不大感兴趣

BEIJING: China's youth are largely nonchalant about calls by a hawkish section of the official media to "teach India a lesson" over the Doklam stand-off. Most of them are even ignorant of such a border problem because they pay little attention to the official media. This is evident from the insignificant level of discussions on the Chinese social media about the issue.

The issue did not figure among the top 50 trending topics on Saturday on Sina Weibo, the Chinese version of Twitter, which has over 340 million users in China.

官方媒体就洞朗对峙说要“给印度一个教训”，然而这个年轻人对这一呼吁漠不关心。

大多数人不怎么关注官方媒体的报道，所以对边界问题是知之甚少。

从中国社交媒体对该问题的讨论程度就可以明显看出来。

该问题并未出现在微博前50热评榜上，而微博在国内有超过3.4亿用户。

Many are saying "not to say anything against Chinese", this shows that many Indians are emotionally crippled. The fact is, when China goes to war, these "non-interested" Chinese youths will come forward to fight and these Indians will hide under the table.
