BEIJING: President Xi Jinping on Wednesday assured China's jittery neighbours that Beijing is ready to resolve its disputes through dialogue but not at the expense of its strategic interests, as he opened a key meeting of the ruling Communist party elite that will boost his grip on power with a second term and even an unprecedented third innings.
He said China will never pursue development at the expense of others, nor will China ever give up its legitimate rights and interests.

北京：周三，习主席向中国紧张不安的邻国保证，中方准备通过对话解决争端，但不以战略利益为代价。

他说，中国不以牺牲他人追求发展，也不会放弃自己的合法权益。
