Hurricane Irma has turned Southern Florida into a ghost town, with residentsheading out for safer and dryer ground this past week after days of warningsand a mandatory evacuation order.

在过去几周接连不断发布的警告和强制疏散令之下，居民转移至更安全更干燥的区域，飓风厄玛已然将佛罗里达州南部地区变成了一座废墟之城。

These villages were not without their idiots however, who on Sunday announcedthemselves to the world when camera crews captured their bizarre behaviors as100mph winds tore up the state.

Some decided to head out and enjoy a spot of fitness as they biked intoexhausting headwinds or surfed over churning waves.

Others went more outside the box, like the man who declared he had decided totie his shirt to a post and ride out the hurricane in the middle of a majorMiami street.

And then there were some whose actions seemed to defy all thought and logic,most notably two sailors who headed out to sea as the storm struck - despitethe fact that they cannot swim.

Well it also proves the storm was not that bad- totally over blown (no punintended) by the media. Was a very mild hurricane - minimal damage and mildstorm surge. If you evacuated you should be annoyed.

If Irma were just a few miles off shore in the Gulf, thescene would have been catastrophic. Being "safe and not sorry" is notstupid. Minimal damage?? Confused about your pictures of the two guys who went out but couldn't swim andhad to helped back in. Surely you realize this is not a sailboat they were on.Emergency personnel should let them fend for themselves if they're so stupid.Also, these people are just out for the attention. If everyone just ignoredthem and didn't post it maybe they'd just go away. If nothing else they'll justtry something bigger and do themselves in and the world is rid of them.
