Satellite image reveals China has begunusing drones with stealth capabilities in the South China Sea

China has deployed a drone with stealthcapabilities for the first time to a disputed island in the South China Sea,according to new satellite imagery.

根据最新的卫星图像显示中国在南海争议岛屿上首次部署了隐形无人机。

It comes as tensions escalate in the regionof the disputed Woody Island, with China, Taiwan and Vietnam each claiming theland.

The images, obtained from ImageSatInternational(ISI), show the deployment of the Chinese Harbin BZK-005long-range reconnaissance drone.

The drone doesn't yet have the capabilityto fire missiles, and it doesn't appear to be armed in the satellite imagestaken last month.

However it can remain airborne for 40 hours, and is primarily used forsurveillance.
