PARIS —U.S. filmmaker Oliver Stone warns that his country’s desire to “control the world” by eavesdropping on the entire planet would end in disaster.

The outspoken director of “JFK” and “Platoon” claimed Washington’s war on terror was being used as cover to “dominate the world”.

“That desire to control the world is very dangerous,” Stone warned Monday as his latest movie “Snowden” is released across Europe and Asia.

“There is no historical record of one empire that can do that successfully… the British Empire tried but that ultimately led to massive wars. The same is resulting from the U.S. desire for tyranny,” he told reporters.

The so-called "War on Terror" is one that will never end.
There is no enemy.
"Terror" isn't an enemy. It is a way of fighting.
The real terrorists are the CIA and the puppet media who spread the terror.
The cause and operations of war these days are hidden. Wars are not fought on the battlefield, but in dark little offices by secret organizations. The only "winners" are those who make a profit from it, arms manufacturers and so on.

所谓的“反恐战争”永远不会结束。
根本不存在敌人。
“恐怖行径”并非敌人，而是一种战斗方式。
真正的恐怖分子是中情局以及散布恐惧的傀儡媒体。

Yeah only because iraq was still fresh in our memories. Now the tactic de jour is arming proxies and perpetuating war crimes all the while pretending to criticize the very same thugs. The war didn't end, it evolved.

The U.S. backing off will not lessen hacking and eavesdropping on the planet. It's inexpensive compared to using the big stuff. Remember Yahoogate.

Like Carl Schmitt said people/peoples need a enemy image as a basis for there own cultures. This has been exploited by governments for a long time. Now with terrorism there is a boogy man everywhere this helps keep the populous in fear and under control. People who are interested should read the neolib "project for a new american century."

The Russians are trying to hack into it...
The North Koreans are trying to blow it up...
The Brits are trying to exit it...
and Japan is trying to ignore it.
