A Chinese woman was shocked to see that the pork on her table shining an eerieblue glow in the dark.

一名中国女子看到放在她桌子上的猪肉在黑暗中发散着诡异的蓝光后十分震惊。

The woman, from China's Sichuan province, saw the bizarre scene when she got upto go to the toilet in the early hours of December 25, reported the People'sDaily Online.

据人民网报道，这名来自中国四川省的女子在12月25号凌晨起床上厕所时看到了怪异的一幕。

She had bought the ribs two days before from a farmers' market, the reportsaid.

报道称，该女子两天前从农贸市场买来的这份排骨。

According to the woman's daughter, surnamed Su, the ribs had been purchased onDecember 23 from a meat vendor on the second floor of the Zhuoxin farmers'market in Mianyang, Sichuan Province.

该女子的女儿苏女士称，这份排骨是在12月23号从四川省绵阳市卓信农贸市场二楼的一名肉贩那里买来的。

Ms Su said her mother had bought 5.5 pounds of pork ribs before marinating themwith Sichuan pepper and salt at home. 

苏女士说她母亲在买来这5.5磅重的排骨后打算在家用盐和四川辣椒腌制。

During the day, her mother dried the ribs on the balcony; and after the nightfell, she put them in a basket and left them in the kitchen.

白天，她母亲把排骨放在阳台晾干，天黑后用篮子装着放在了厨房里。

During the wee hours of December 25, Ms Su's mother got up to go to thetoilet and saw the ribs glowing blue in the dark.

12月25号凌晨，苏女士的母亲起床去厕所时看到排骨在黑暗中发着蓝光。



Ms Su told a reporter from Dahe.cn: 'She saw the blue glow on the table. Shewas really scared.' 

苏女士对大河报的一名记者说：“她看到桌子上蓝光，她感到非常害怕”。

She said her mother immediately turned on the light and realised it was thepork which was shining in the dark.

她说她母亲马上把灯打开并意识到在黑暗中发光的是那块猪肉。

She contacted the meat seller, however the vendor denied that they had sold thefluorescent pork to her mother. 

她联系了肉贩，但肉贩失口否认了曾卖给苏女士母亲荧光猪肉。



This was not the first time glow-in-the-dark pork had been found in Mianyangcity this month.

在绵阳市这已经不是本月第一起发光猪肉事件。

A similar incident happened on December 4, according to local media 'Eat, live,travel in Mianyang'.

根据当地媒体“绵阳吃住游”报道，类似的事件发生在12月4号。

In a social media post, the web news portal claimed that a woman surnamed Caohad bought fluorescent sausages in the city's Linjiang market. 

在社交媒体的门户网站消息称，一位姓曹的女士曾在绵阳市临江市场买到了荧光腊肠。

According to the report, Ms Cao complained after spending 200 yuan (?23.5) onthe sausages: 'They are like an LED lamp. I can see them from three meters away(10 feet).'

据报道，曹女士抱怨她已经花了200元买这些腊肠：“它们看起来像LED灯，我能在3米远的距离看到它们。”

Ms Cao, who had bought the sausages for the upcoming Chinese New Year, said shewould not dare to eat the meat and that her Chinese New Year plan was ruined.

曹女士买腊肠原本是为了准备即将到来的春节，但她说她不敢吃这些肉了，春节计划也泡汤了。

'How can a Chinese New Year be celebrated without sausages?' The frustrated womansaid.

“没有了腊肠还怎么庆祝春节？”这位受挫的女士说。

She also contacted the meat store, which claimed the pork they sold 'hadabsolutely no problem.'

她也联系了肉店，但肉店声称他们卖的猪肉绝对没有任何问题。

The Sichuan Mianyang Food and Drug Administration has started investigating thetwo cases.

四川省绵阳市食品和药品监督局已经开始调查这两起事件。

According to China Smack, in 2011 a Chinese woman woke in the middle of thenight to find that leftover pork was glowing blue. 

根据中国滋味报道，在2011年中国的一位女子半夜醒来发现吃剩的猪肉发着蓝色的光。

Even fingers that touched the meat would be shining in blue.

Shanghai food exports said that the food had been contaminated by phosphorescentbacteria.
