Donald Trump threatened Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe he would ship 25 million Mexicans to his country, one of a series of bizarre missives that jarred fellow leaders at last week's acrimonious G7 meet, according to a report on Friday.

The Group of Seven summit gathering of top industrialized democracies finished in disarray after the U.S. president abruptly rejected its consensus statement and bitterly attacked Canada's Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Behind the scenes, Trump's counterparts were dismayed by verbal jabs on topics ranging from trade to terrorism and migration, The Wall Street Journal said, quoting European officials who were present.

At one point he described migration as a big problem for Europe then said to Abe: "Shinzo, you don't have this problem, but I can send you 25 million Mexicans and you'll be out of office very soon," creating a sense of irritation in the room, according to an EU official.

The source added that when the topic turned to Iran and terrorism, Trump took aim at French President Emmanuel Macron, saying: "You must know about this, Emmanuel, because all the terrorists are in Paris."

European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker also came under fire and was repeatedly described by Trump as a "brutal killer" in reference to the bloc's antitrust and tax fines against U.S. tech companies that have run into billions of dollars.

Bitter differences over trade dominated the summit hosted by Canada, with leaders of the world's largest economies lining up against Trump's threats to impose stiff tariffs on imported steel and aluminum.

After rejecting the joint statement, Trump and his top aides assailed Trudeau, accusing him of dishonesty and betrayal.

Trump on Friday rejected reports of discord, blaming the "Fake News Media" on Twitter for portraying a false picture while posting several photos of himself appearing to get along well with fellow G7 leaders.

Trump is a great Leader, and PM Abe is very, very close to him. Their Summits are always a success. But I cannot understand this. Why would he propose sending Mexican immigrants (maybe criminals) to Japan? Japan will decide its own immigrant policies. Japan does not want the problems of the USA with drugs, crime, gangs and terrorism.

The Japanese gov would never allow that. They’d be deported quickly. But in the USA, they could just hide in some sanctuary city. Pathetic!!

A crude as Trump can be, and it's a cherry picked comment, telling Abe this was Trump's way of saying, "Keep out the immigrants", something that both agree upon.

Trumps attempts at humour in trying to emphasis a point that illegal immigration, in big numbers, is not welcomed, not just by the U.S but everywhere on the planet.
The figures are a bit off if he is talking about Europe. Something like 1 million - 1.5 million since 2014/2015. Still, thats enough to make many European countries nervous because they continue to arrive in Italy on weekly basis.

Trump really doesn't have any decency at all to foreign top leaders. He knows It is impossible for anyone to be able to send 2.5 milions to Japan or other countries. Mexican migrants illegally try to enter America for a long time, it seems America's fate and gun shooting killing each other is also its fate. So finish up to build long walls very quickly.

Totally unverified and should be taken with the utmost skepticism.
But because this fits nicely with certain people's politics, especially the media's, it will be treated as if it's the gospel truth.
While his performance in office hasn't been perfect, overall Trump is doing a rather good job -- and some people just can't stand that.
Hence their psychological and political need to do anything to derail, de-legitimize, and discredit him.
Again, there's no evidence of this, other than someone's say-so.

Trump was using hyperbole trying to simplify and make clear understanding. Japan allows few immigrants and almost zero asylum seekers. Abe and Japan have next to no understanding about having 2K uninvited people show up monthly to live in their country and sneaking in.
We know that he isn't elegant, highly insensitive, often offensive, and usually puts his foot in his mount. That is what he did here, again.
BTW, it impossible to ship 25M people anywhere. That's over 70K trips in airliners or over 5000 huge cruise ship trips.
Trump has a habit of grouping all Mexicans with those millions who illegally entered the USA, which is bad. There are many more millions who came to the USA legally.

On one side, ABE did deserve to hear this. Mainly due to the way even hardworking Koreans are treated in Japan to this day.
On the other, he's a bit off with Europe. Sure Europe has a lot of immigrants, but even if you exclude Russia, Europe is almost twice the size of the U.S in population and remains 90-93% white to this day.
Europe's problems aren't immigrants, nor "muslims" per se;
We've got a ton of Asians here who work really hard and assimilate, we also have native muslims in Bosnia whom you never see any hatred for.
The issue is the huge amount of recent arrivals that are forced upon a small amount of nations, and the overwhelming amount of these new arrivals (90-95%) are of muslim faith, which does bring a huge strain on integration, thus leading to conflict.
Europe as a whole is a lot more welcoming than the U.S. There isn't a single "anti black" or "anti asian" party in Europe that I know of. Because, we don't have the issue with them. Its the religion, and the huge influx, that causes the issue.
Europeans have dealt with both world wars on its soil, and the last thing they want is terrorism, and more uncertainty, and definitely not another war (or a civil war for that matter).

欧洲的问题不是移民,也不是“穆斯林”本身;

Good observation but that doesn't mean that they don't face racism or exclusion. The National Front of the UK can definitely be seen as an 'anti-black and 'anti asian' party.
The 'Front Nationale' in France on the other hand has Arab and Black supporters. It's a known 'phenomenon' that minorities living for ages in predominantly white countries are often 'hostile' towards 'newcomers' of the same background.
You've Vietnamese communities in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and the Eastern part of Germany due to aid for labor agreements between Vietnam and their former Eastern-european comrades. There were issues in the past, illegal cigarette business for example, and there are issues nowadays but you can't compare that with the hostility towards Roma and Sinti in those countries who came originally from the Indian peninsula.
the overwhelming amount of these new arrivals (90-95%) are of muslim faith, which does bring a huge strain on integration, thus leading to conflict.
For successful integration you need 2 parties and when the ruling party does nothing about segregation and exclusion that process will not succeed. People of muslim faith on the other hand have to accept the rules in their new [host] country and the fact that they have to share space with other faiths or people with no faith.

The comments made at G7. President Trump was obviously being sarcastic and facetious out of frustration. It does not matter what side of isle you are on or somewhere in the middle road. Trade in its current state is very unfair right now for the American people. Has been for decades. Change is very painful. Trump does not like to impose tariffs in my opinion. That is just my opinion and mine alone. If you agree. Cool. If you do not. That's cool too. Strategically. He does not have any other viable options right now other than increasing tariffs.

As far as the sitting President of my country. The comments made at G7. President Trump was obviously being sarcastic and facetious out of frustration.
Since I first heard his comments, until now, I have not once thought Trump was being sarcastic or speaking out of frustration. What you are declaring as obvious is not obvious at all.
Trade in its current state is very unfair right now for the American people. Has been for decades.
America - biggest country in the world, biggest victim complex in the world.
One thing I've realized in the past couple of decades is that in America, if someone repeats something enough, a significant number of Americans will believe it, regardless of how ridiculous the concept is. The above is a prime example of that. These people truly believe America is being screwed, not realizing that that's not the case at all. America is rich. Not well off, not even prosperous, but straight up rich. That said, there is a HUGE income disparity. The people feel poor, and when Trump makes these unsupported claims about America being screwed by trade, they believe it, instead of seeing that it's not America getting screwed by trade, it's that the money goes to Trump and the elite. They are right to be angry about the tough times they live in, but they are mistakenly appropriating blame on the wrong parties.
If America wants to fix its income problems, it needs to look inward, not outward.
