Art Basel visitor randomly follows womanaround show, then stabs her in the NECK - and witnesses who think it's art donothing

A frightening scene emerged Friday at thelegendary Art Basel Miami Beach as a woman was stabbed, causing some patrons tothink they were watching performance art.

周五在巴塞尔迈阿密艺博会上发生了可怕的事情，一名女性被刺，而目击者以为那是行为艺术。

Miami Beach police spokesman ErnestoRodriguez said the horrific incident occurred around 5pm at the Miami BeachConvention Center in a corridor near an art installation entitled 'The Swamp ofSagittarius,' created by Miami artist Naomi Fisher and partner Agatha Wara.

迈阿密海滩警方发言人称这个事件发生在下午5点，事发于迈阿密海滩会议中心的一个走廊里，旁边是一个叫做《射手座的沼泽》的艺术装置，是迈阿密艺术家创作的。



Police said the victim confronted thesuspect, Siyuan Zhao, about purposely following her around the art show andbumping into her several times.

Zhao then pulled out an X-Acto knife andstabbed the victim in the right side of the neck and left shoulder withoutwarning or provocation, authorities said.

Those "pranked" shows bear alarge responsibility. Staging fake physical attacks, robberies and fights toembarrass bystanders who get pranked on tv is the reason people think it's alla show. These programs which test people's reactions to fake situations, havemade people immune to a real emergencies when they happen. They expect to see atv camera come out from hiding.

It would have been obvious anywhere else inthe world, but almost anything goes in art galleries. I've seen performance artthat's truly odd, and it boggles the mind how people come up with it.
