Deng Guiliang, China's fattest man who can eat eight bowls of rice in one sitting, is set to undergo life changing weight-loss surgery.

The man from Qingyuan City is reported to have recently overtaken 35 stone Liang Yong to take the title of 'China's Fattest Man'.

However he is set to undergo treatment to assist with weight loss after he says his size has become a burden to his family, the People's Daily Online reports.

Deng's size means that he is unable to look after his children and relies on his wife to assist him with taking a bath and using the toilet.
