A 47-year-old mannicknamed ‘Jitse Akse‘ by Dutch media has beenarrested in Arnhem by the Dutch police upon his return from Syria. According tothe presecutor’s office, he is suspected of having killed ISIS terroristsduring an offensive by the Kurdish “People’s Protection Units” (YPG) innorthern Syria last year. Therefore, he has been charged for murder under Dutchlaw.

据荷兰媒体报道，从叙利亚返回之后、一位47岁化名"JitseAkse"的男性被荷兰警方在阿纳姆逮捕。据来自检察官的消息，其涉嫌于去年在北部叙利亚参与由库尔德人的“人民保卫联盟”（YPG）发动的攻势中杀死了伊斯兰国的恐怖分子。他将被根据荷兰法律以谋杀罪名被检控。

‘Jitse Akse‘, as he has been dubbed,appeared in a Rotterdam court on Friday, where he was provisionally released. “The man is a former soldier whosecase was extensively reported on last year in the media and on Facebook due tohis involvement in the fight against the Islamic State,” a statement released by the prosecutorsaid.

"Jitse Akse"上周五出现在鹿特丹的一家法庭上，并被临时释放。“此人曾是战士，因为牵涉反击伊斯兰国、去年媒体及脸书曾经广为报道与传播，” 检察官在发布的声明中说。

In a message on hisFacebook account quoted by the Dutch television channel NOS, he reportedlywrote that “I had the chance to make adifference”, and added that he: “hadused his military skills of flexibility & improvisation to help the Kurdishpeople,”.

荷兰电视频道NOS引用其在脸书上的一则消息：“我有机会带来改变”，他还写道：“我已用自己随机应变、即兴发挥的军事技能帮助了库尔德人”。

The prosecutor’s office said there was an important differencebetween people who travel to Syria under their own steam to fight ISIS and theDutch military, which is training fighters and carrying out bombing missions inneighbouring Iraq.

检察官称自发前往叙利亚抗击伊斯兰国与荷兰军方之间有一个重大区别，即军方只是提供训练及在临近的伊拉克执行轰炸任务。

The Netherlands has been taking part in coalition operations inIraq since October 2014, including using four F-16s to fly close air supportmissions for the Iraqi army.

Ironically, a Dutch decision is expected thismonth on whether to join US-led airstrikes in Syria.
