Commuters will be paying an average of 25% more for rail season tickets since David Cameron took office, Labour has calculated.

Fares are set to rise by an average of 1.1% on Saturday and the shadow transport secretary, Lilian Greenwood, said that would mean passengers being hit by a “truly staggering” rise of up to 2,000 in cash terms since 2010.

Greenwood said in some cases passengers were faced with increases far beyond the average of 25% for regulated fares, which include season tickets.

Aaaah British Rail, I remember it well. Dirty platforms, dirty trains, dirty toilets, rude staff, poor management, frequent strikes, the services ran for the benefit of staff not customers.
Our current rail network is a million times better than the dark days of British Rail.

I think it's comical that Labour call for Re-Nationalisation of the Railways, bearing in mind that at no point in their long tenure in power did they try to do it themselves!
I'm a railway worker & to be fair they should be. Privatisation hasn't worked at all.

At very few points during their long tenure in power did they really succeed in fully representing their namesake in any case.

You are referring to pre-Corbyn neoliberal Labour, the centre-right faction of a singleparty system, and Labour in name only.
Comical? Well I find it kind of comical that anyone who is not overprivileged or ultrarich can even contemplate voting for a pseudo-democratic authoritarian system which corresponds to the standard dictionary definition of 'fascism'. Look it up.

Yes, what world is it Claire Perry lives in? Isn't she aware that her own colleagues have ensured that there is no earnings increase of any sort for some civil servants? Nil, zero, nada. So any increase in ANY living costs will make them worse off in the new year. Thoughtless or brainless?

是的,世界上什么是Claire Perry的生活?她是不是知道自己的同事已确保公务员工资没有任何形式的增长了?零,零,虚无缥缈。因此在任何生活费用的增加将使他们在新的一年更糟。渎职还是愚蠢?

What I find comical is 5 straight anti re-nationalisation comments, all exactly the same time (2hrs ago, at this point) I don't think there are many who would in honesty defend the extortionate rip-off that privatisation has brought us and even 70% of tories backed the idea of re-nationalisation when it was talked about 3 years ago. It wasn't even a privatisation really, the profitable bits were sold to the wealthy elite and the loss-making bits were chucked to the tax -payers. 

我觉得好笑的是5个激烈反对铁路再国有化的意见,还都出现在在同一时间,我不认为有很多人会真诚的捍卫敲诈,私有化给我们带来的就是敲竹杠,即使是70%的保守党也支持重新国有化的方案,自从它三年前被提出以来。过去的私有化政策甚至不是一个真正的私有化,而是盈利单位出售给富裕的精英和亏损的单位被国家财政接受。(国有资产流失啊,@大英纪委)
