The remains of over 130 hanging wooden coffins have been found on the face of a 330-feet-high cliff in central China.

They were found just outside Moping town of Zigui County, Hubei province, and are believed to be over 1,000 years old from the Tang Dynasty (618-907), reported byThe People’s Daily Online.

there ARE no coffins nor hollowed out trees. Those are planks, probably had a plank scary walkway similar to stairway to heaven mountain in china -- but that pink rock is indicative of gold mining and so is the lack of coffins in the cliff face.
