A moving video has captured the heart-breaking final day of an Ostrich that made a fight for freedom through city streets, before meeting its demise due to the actions of disgruntled motorists.

Drivers in Fushan south China became frustrated when the runaway bird began running down the city’s main roads.

A policeman arrived to bring the bird some water and to carry it back to the station.

The officer speculated that it was the individuals seen in the footage forcing the Ostrich from the road that caused its death.
