TOKYO —Thecompany behind a chatty Japanese humanoid named Pepper has felt the need toremind customers who purchase the robots not to engage in sex with them.

A recent showthat was on British TV was "Humans" in which robots or"Synths" (short for synthetics) looked like humans and were takingthe jobs of humans, and even had a scene where the female ones were shownworking in a "house of ill repute" and a female owner of one had sexwith the male counterpart. It was a decent series and will probably get asecond season. The premise of the show dealt with a group of these machines whohad managed to have a program written into them by the creator of the robotsthat gave them emotions.
If you buy themachine, and willing to not worry about voiding the warranty if it breaksduring sex, why is Softbank concerned.
