BEIJING —China features prominently in the rhetoric of presumed Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump who accuses the country of stealing American jobs and cheating at global trade. In China though he’s only just emerging as a public figure despite fame elsewhere for his voluble utterances high-profile businesses and reality TV shows.

Trump “could in fact be the best president for China” Hong Kong Phoenix Television political commentator Wu Jun said during a recent on-air discussion.
“That’s because the Republican Party is more practical and Trump is a businessman who puts his commercial interests above everything else” Wu said. Clinton on the other hand “might be the least friendly president toward China.”

It’s not clear how familiar Trump actually is with China. While he’s claimed to have made “billions of dollars dealing with China” he has no known investments in the nation. Chinese however are customers for Trump’s hotel golf course and real estate ventures while Trump-branded clothing and accessories have been made in China.

That's why Trump had all his Macy's goods made there and still has all his campaign junk made in China.
Apples and oranges. Of course these days you can't get anything that pretty much isn't made in China doesn't excuse the fact that they manipulate their currency and that it has cost millions of jobs not only in America but globally and it doesn't mean we shouldn't confront China or NOT allow them to take advantage of us economically and socially.

Just like Toyota use its brand name Toyota in Japanese but made in USA.

Trump is not a dictator or socialist and he is not an authoritarian. He is showing the people's will can trump authoritarian governments. Only a socialist would think that's a bad thing and the Chinese have it right.

Last I checked Trumps campaign wares were made in USA. China has been profiting quite nicely off the global consumers. Greedy corporations are responsible for the shift into China. Over regulation starts them looking high tax rates have them seriously considering and increased profit potential has them build a plant in China.

Trump was not born rich. His father was just a real estate business man. He built his business on his own. That is why he wants people to believe he is a billionaire.

Trump had the new fund raising. He collected quite many million dollars in 72 hours. As for Dem Sanders and Clinton are competing hard. Feinstein wants both candidates to work toward defeating Trumps more than fighting each other. And both are not fighting. Both ignore Libertarian so far. I think Trump against Clinton in Nov.

The not-so-"strong reaction" was in reference to ordinary Japanese who've yet to be so outspoken publicly in their disapproval of Trump.

是不那么“强烈的反响”，因为普通日本人还没有那么强烈公开的反对川普。

They just see this rich American tycoon telling it like it is and they're offended. Then the rest of the Japanese just jump on the bandwagon saying "I don't like Trump." The Japanese should stop hiding behind the US flag all the time. Both Trump & the Chinese KNOW this.
